Steven began working for IVS Ltd in 2011, training as a Clinical Vascular Scientist and has since worked in a number of NHS and private hospitals across the Northwest region and now leads a team that provides a specialist cerebrovascular monitoring service in complex Carotid surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital and manages a medico-legal service that provides opinion on Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome. Steven provides expertise on 3D ultrasound research within vascular surgery and has taught Doctors, nurses and scientists on regional training courses and presents at national conferences.
Steven is currently completing a PhD in the accuracy and utility of 3D ultrasound within vascular surgery at the University of Manchester and is collaborating with partners in Germany on the development of a new type of 3D ultrasound machine.
Steven’s clinical interests include Contrast Enhanced assessment of Endoleak in EVAR, arterial disease in the lower limbs and Carotid disease. Steven also provides a vascular ultrasound assessment service for the hand, foot and digits, as well as temporal arteritis and reconstructive and plastic surgery and has interests in minimally invasive varicose vein treatment, including RFA/VNUS.
